Partial Pressures

The Partial Pressure module of the NSF-funded MUSES project (MUSES) provides a relationship between partial pressures corresponding to the net-charge contribution and the charge fluctuations (susceptibilities) for finite temperature T, all at zero chemical potential.

This module is based on the representation of pressure within the HRG model in terms of net-charge contributions, where a direct relation between such partial pressures and susceptibilities exists. Equations to express the partial pressures in linear terms of the susceptibilities are obtained and verified to follow a continuous behaviour utilizing data from both HRG and lattice QCD calculations. A set of continuum-estimated second- and fourth-order susceptibilities from lattice QCD calculations at zero chemical potentials [1] is provided as a baseline.
